Behavioral Health
Overland Park Post Acute offers unique programming for individuals with behavioral needs. Whether it be short-term rehabilitation, medication management, or community reintegration, we offer a full range of services to fit each individual’s short and long-term needs. Our psychiatric rehabilitation is performed by professional mental health staff. We have psychosocial skills training programs and crisis management.
Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care
Although we do not have a secured unit at Overland Park Post Acute, we do offer Dementia/Alzheimer’s care services including but not limited to the following supervision and support, personalized care plans, cognitive stimulation, behavioral management, and medical management. Allow Overland to address the medical needs of your loved ones so they can thrive.
Complex Wound Care
Our wound care program utilizes professional, clinical, and technical resources designed for the treatment of a variety of wound conditions including ostomies (colostomy/urostomy), wound separation, diabetic arterial/venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, and pre and post-flap surgery.
Respite Care
Through our respite program, our facility provides security and supervision in a caring and compassionate environment, giving the caregiver peace of mind. Respite care is designed to meet the physical and medical needs of a resident during a short-term stay.
Diabetes Care
Our experienced nurses provide help with all aspects of managing diabetes including blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and tracking, making an exercise plan, menu planning, education, and more.
Restorative Nursing Program
At Overland Park Post Acute we seek to maximize the quality of life for our long-term care population who require a specialized restorative program. The therapy team and nursing staff develop individualized treatment plans for resident care in the areas of:
- Ambulation
- Range of motion
- Activities of daily living
- Positioning and alignment
- Skin integrity and wound management
- Contracture management
- Bowel and bladder training
- Rehabilitative and social dining

Pain Management
We understand that pain can delay and interrupt the progress of rehabilitation. We strive to make our patients as comfortable as possible, through medication and other pain management techniques, to help patients participate in and benefit from therapy. We also provide our patients with educational information and resources you will need to successfully manage temporary, long-term, or chronic pain once they return home.
Dietary Program
- Provides meals to meet specific dietary and therapeutic needs, according to physician orders
- Oral supplemental diets are available
- Regular nutritional assessments from our registered dietitian
